Facebook is now a part of every marketing strategy. What you use on Facebook for connecting with people on Facebook is a Page. A page is a form of online presence for your business where you can share your views with people and similarly, people can talk back. These pages are used not just by companies like Microsoft and Google, but also popular figures, movies, brands and even causes.
One very important aspect of these pages is that they allow you to share various forms of media. It includes text, photos, videos, links to other sites, notes and documents. The most powerful feature, however, of Facebook pages is the Like Box. Like Boxes are now everywhere. You can place it on your website and it will tell visitors the number of people who like you page. It also shows the visitor’s Facebook friends who like your page and offers the visitor to like it too. Other than the like box Facebook provides Like buttons, Recommendation buttons, Share buttons and several others plugins.
Further Facebook allows you to advertise your page on Facebook. It also lets you link your page to your Twitter account so that all updates on the page are automatically sent to your Twitter feed as well. As the admin of a page, you also have access to the Insights of your page. Insights is an analytics tool for your Facebook page which gives very detailed information regarding who are the people who use your page and how they use it. The data includes demographics, charts representing ‘like’ progress, posts shared and several other details that one may utilise for optimization.
